The company was approached by a builder whose brief was to add an opening roof area to an already extensive outdoor entertaining area. The existing area had a flat paneled finish to the ceiling and the client was instructed by the owner to match the effect as closely as possible. It also needed to cover and protect an outdoor aquarium that ran along the wall of the dwelling. The challenge was also to attach the structure to take into effect the different levels of the points of attachment.

After lengthy discussions with the client we were able to suggest a solution that fulfilled the clients requirements. To achieve the brief, Opening Roof Specialists used different methods of attachment to achieve a simple uncluttered look to the framework. The Eclipse bays were separated to enable the introduction of timber bulkheads and lights by the builder. The result was a practical and year round extension to an already large outdoor area and the existing outdoor fireplace could be used even in inclement weather.
